I was raised in the kootenays and I continue to fall in love with this area every passing year. Family, friends and community connections have supported and shaped me into who I am. This is special and I am grateful for this upbringing. Like most kootenay folks I gravitated towards outdoor activity and adventure in my youth. I get inspired to try new activities that move my body in different ways to achieve physical and mental health. Being in the mountains feeds my soul and standing amongst tall trees enlivens my spirit. I am excited to announce my family will be welcoming a new addition to our family this fall. I will be taking maternity leave from my practice this August 2026. I will be welcoming Molly Zimmer to Balanced Therapeutics this July 2026 and she will take over my practice for me while I am gone. It can have a dramatic affect in strengthening our parasympathetic nervous system and calming our body and mind. I use induction techniques to encourage or strengthen certain patterns. If that doesn’t help then I use gentle mobilization techniques to help encourage change.
